I chose a photography class to learn what photography really means and how it works in society.
I hope to learn different styles to add to my art portfolio and I want to learn what does it mean to be a photographer.

4. What are your goals after graduation? Please list your goals in reverse order, starting five years out, then three, two, one, and six months.

In five years I plan to be working at my dream job, fourth is to be married, third is to graduate from college, third is to intern at companies in Dallas, second is to expose myself to more art and get my work out there to people and artist to be well known, and first is to stick to my goals and make them happen for real, and in six months I want to travel and see artwork that has culture and heritage.

6. Where do you get information about current national and international events?

Mostly from people around me or on social media.

7. Are there any important websites that you are referencing for art/photo competitions and/or information? What websites do you regularly visit? What TV programs?

No not at this moment.

8. What museums and/or galleries have you been to in the past year?

I have gone to the San Antonio Art Museum in San Antonio and the galleries here at Texas A&M University at commerce.

9. Have you had any photo projects and/ or training in the past?

No.

10. What is the value of art for the artist?

The value of art for an artist is to show others what the artist has in his mind, what he wants to express about a certain cause.

11. What is the value of art for the audience?

The value of art for the audience is question what the artist is thinking and to try and feel how the artist feels about something.

12. Is photography a vocation or an avocation?

I believe photography is a vocation.

13. What is your passion?

My passion is to draw, paint and more to create life and to show others what my world looks like through my eyes.

14.What are you afraid of? What makes you uncomfortable?

I'm afraid of not pushing myself hard enough, I'm afraid of people judging me for the wrong reasons, I'm afraid of not doing my best and not following orders. I usually dont uncomfortable but, if ever i do I'll tell you as soon as possible.

15. Do you have a passport?

Yes.

16. Why did you sign up for this class? What do you hope to learn from it?

I don't know much of photography and I want to learn as much as possible about it to help others understand the question why it is so important and very useful in society.

17. Name three people who have influenced you and tell me how and why.

My aunt Elizabeth Lopez because her dream was to open up a Latino bakery and she made it happen.
My English teacher Mr. Ronald Calvo in High School because he was so passionate about english and took it to heart and never favored any students.
My mother Josefina Magana-Lopez because she has hope in everything she believe in, even when people and issues intervene she always has her head held high.

18. Name three books (four, if one is the Bible) that have been important in your development. How have they influenced you?
Baba Yaga and Vasilisa the Brave, Jane Eyre, and The Help.
They influence me because in my mind they say beauty is bravery, innocence is better to have than all the fortunes in the world, being bullied or mistreated doesn't define who you are, being poor doesn't mean your dreams wont happen, and being different color of skin and stereotyped is a great advantage to shame and right the wrong.
